Cherokee Day Open House and Food Drive
Cherokee Day Open House and Food Drive is held the first Saturday of May each year. This is the big day for our collecting groceries and cash to help with food expenses for the following year, as well as our chance to have you on our campus and thank you for your generous support. We provide you, our special guests, with a delicious BBQ lunch, complete with all the fixings, around noon. You are welcome to come early before lunch or stay later after to tour our campus, buildings, and cottages.
Annual Auction Benefitting the Kids
Each year on the last Saturday in September, we hold our annual auction at the pavilion on our campus. We have all kinds of items imaginable--automobiles, recreational vehicles, lawn equipment, furniture, tools, household furnishings, appliances, antiques and collectibles, handmade quilts, new items and gift cards from area businesses, and more! Bidding begins at 9:00 a.m. A concession stand is set up to provide a hamburger lunch. All proceeds from the day go directly to caring for our children. Join us for a long and fun day, and take home lots of treasures.
If you have items you would like to donate for our auction, call Tommy at (325) 372-8871. Occasionally we will have trips scheduled in your area, and we may be able to pick up larger items.
